Hello and welcome to The South East Echo
 

This website is predominantly about Southend-on-Sea, Essex, and is a work in progress towards offering fairly comprehensive history of the town from its birth to now. There is also current news relating to developments and of some of the prominent events taking place.
This site also has a strong focus on the RAF and Home Defences during the years 1939 and 1945. There are details of the squadrons and dossiers on some of the pilots based at RAF Rochford during the conflict.
