Hello and welcome to The South East Echo
 

This website is predominantly about Southend-on-Sea, Essex, and is a work in progress towards offering a fairly comprehensive history of the town from its birth to now. This site also has a strong focus on the RAF and Home Defences during the years 1939 and 1945, with details of the squadrons and dossiers on some of the pilots based at RAF Rochford during the conflict.

The Ekco-Radar website we link to has now closed down. The site has been moved to a new server, has been completely reformatted, and has a new name - Ekco Electronics. It is expected to go 'live' within the next few days.
