Sgt. Newton was a Flight Engineer in 460 (RAAF) Squadron.

He was killed on 2nd February 1945, aged 25.

Roy was the son of Arthur Joseph and Elizabeth Newton, of Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex.

He is buried in DURNBACH WAR CEMETERY
