He was killed on 11th August 1943, aged 38.

Alfred was the son of Alfred Charles and Lily Maud Rutherford; husband of Christina Eva Rutherford, of Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

He is buried in KANCHANABURI WAR CEMETERY
