Pte Goodale was in 5th Battalion of the Royal Berkshire Regiment.
He was killed on 26th April 1917. He was aged 20.

James was the son of Frederick William Alfred and Lydia Goodale, of 20 Colchester Road, Prittlewell, Southend-on-Sea.
