Sgt. Klozinski was born in Kaznad, Germany, on 26th February 1915.
In 1931, Wojciech joined the PAF NCOs Training School at Bydgoszcz.
In 1934, Wojciech passed out as an aircraft mechanic and with some elementary flying training. He completed training as a bomber pilot with the Polish Air Force at Sadkow before returning to Bydgoszcz as an instructor.
In September 1939, Wojciech was evacuated with student pilots from Krosno to Roumania. He reached France on 12th November and then moved on to England on 9th February 1940.
After training, Wojciech joined 54 Squadron at Catterick on 2nd June 1940.
On 12th August, Wojciech destroyed a Bf 109.
On 15th August, he was shot down in his Spitfire I (R7015) after combat over Dover with a Bf 109 at 11:45hrs, it crashed near Hythe. He was severely wounded. Wojciech was admitted to Ashford Hospital, but did not recover enough from his injuries to return to duty until October 1942, although he was never medically fit to fly again.
Wojciech Klozinski was awarded the KW and Bar on 15th July 1941.
On 5th November 1942, Wojciech was posted to 58 OTU at Grangemouth, as a Link Trainer instructor.
Wojciech was posted to 61 OTU on 15th October on the same duties.
On 12th January 1945, Wojciech was posted to 14 Base at RAF Fakdingworth.
On 24th August 1945, Wojciech went to Canada where he later changed his name to V.K. Stewart.
