F/O. P. G. Dexter flew with 611, 603 and 54 Squadron.
He was wounded on 2nd October, 1940, whilst flying with 603 Squadron. His Spitfire I (P9553) was shot down by a Bf 109 of JG 53 over Croydon at 10:30hrs.

On 14th July 1941, Peter, flying SpitfireVb P8581, collided with a pilot from 54 Squadron over Boulogne on bomber escort to Hazebrouck (Circus 40), but managed to bale out.
It was reported later through the Red Cross that he had been picked up dead in his parachute.
Peter Dexter is buried at Samer
