Sgt S. Baxter force landed at Eastchurch on the 30th of August 1940 after his Spitfire I (P9325) was damaged during combat over Canterbury at 10:00hrs.

S. Baxter was killed at 16:15hrs on the 14th of September 1940. His Spitfire I (X4275) was shot up during combat with a Bf 109, and he crash-landed in Rochford.
